Qualifications

• Experience or training in cosmetology or barbering is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of extensions, makeup, and nail care is a plus.
• Familiarity with salon software systems such as MINDBODY for scheduling and client management.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
• Willingness to mentor new team members and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior stylists with hair styling, including blowouts, trims, and special occasion looks.
• Prepare clients for services by performing consultations on hair extensions, color theory, and hair threading techniques.
• Support with retail sales by recommending products such as hair care, nail care, makeup, and eyelash extensions to enhance client results.
• Maintain salon sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and ensuring proper sterilization practices are followed.
• Manage front desk responsibilities including appointment scheduling using salon software like MINDBODY and greeting clients warmly.
• Assist with store management tasks such as inventory checks for retail products and organizing supplies.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, upselling services or retail items, and fostering a positive atmosphere.
