Additionally, this role supports the salon's daily operations to ensure smooth, professional service.

Stylist Support ResponsibilitiesThis client-facing aspect of the role empowers stylists to maximize their time and maintain top-tier service quality. This hands-on, fast-paced position requires anticipating stylists' needs and taking proactive action. You will receive invaluable, hands-on training from our experienced team to set you up for long-term success as a stylist.

Key tasks include:

• Preparing trays, turning over trays, mixing and applying color, shampooing, applying products, blow-drying, and styling

• Maintaining product knowledge to educate clients and support retail sales

• Assisting stylists in maintaining efficient service flow throughout the day

Salon Support ResponsibilitiesAll team members contribute to salon operations as needed throughout the day, with primary responsibility falling to this position. Operational support ensures a seamless client experience and maintains our salon's professional image.

Key tasks include:

• Greeting clients warmly and setting a positive tone for their visit

• Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and processing checkouts

• Updating and maintaining accurate client records

• Ensuring the salon remains clean, safe, and organized

Social Media & Self-PromotionMaintaining an active online presence is essential in today’s beauty industry. You will be expected to:

• Regularly post photos and videos showcasing your work on Instagram

• Engage with followers to build your personal and salon brand

• Collaborate with the marketing team to support salon-wide promotions

SupervisionThis position reports directly to the salon owner and indirectly to the Salon Coordinator.

Working Conditions

• Long hours of standing and moving

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Qualifications

• Current South Carolina cosmetology license

• Online portfolio or social media presence showcasing your work

• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

Compensation & BenefitsThis is a full-time, non-exempt position (30+ hours per week) with:

• Competitive hourly pay with overtime eligibility

• Product sales commissions

• 100% of tips passed directly to you through weekly pay

• Upon promotion to stylist, compensation transitions to include a combination of service commissions and an hourly base with overtime
