Job description

Overview

Cosmetology license required. Regis is seeking Stylists who are excited to welcome clients and provide friendly, professional service. The Stylist follows customer service principles and applies techniques effectively, creatively, and efficiently. Strong consultation procedures are used to ensure that client expectations are exceeded as part of being a Regis team member.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services by consulting with clients and applying the appropriate service techniques.
• Recommend and participate in all approved local marketing initiatives including depth and frequency of coupon campaigns, seasonal initiatives, and client appreciation events.
• Educate clients about proper home hair care and recommend services and products to help maintain their hairstyle between salon visits.
• Employ best practices for customer service, ensuring each client’s satisfaction and building client loyalty.
• Provide quality consultations with each client, including stating the final price before the service begins.
• Complete all required administrative tasks (e.g., closing out a ticket on the POS system and scheduling appointments) promptly.
• Communicate effectively and positively with all clients, team members, leaders, and the corporate support team.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards set by Regis.
• Be willing and able to perform all services offered at the salon.
• Maintain flexibility in scheduled shifts to fit the needs of the business, including potential night and weekend shifts.
• Attend all required technical training sessions.
• Follow Regis policies as defined in the Handbook and salon-specific operational procedures (including but not limited to bank deposits/runs, salon cleaning/maintenance, and disinfecting styling implements).

• The physical requirements of the position may require bending, sitting, twisting, turning, lifting (generally 10-15 pounds), and/or standing for extended periods of time.

Experience

• Stylist-in-Training – Graduated 90 days or less away from graduating from cosmetology school.
• Stylist – possession of a valid, current cosmetology or barber’s license.

Education

• Must maintain a valid cosmetology or barber’s license (or 90 days or less from graduating).
• All Stylists/Stylists-in-Training are required to complete assigned training as determined by Regis.
• All Supercuts Stylists/Stylists-in-Training must participate in the Hair Stylist Academy (HSA) program and receive a certificate of completion.
