Qualifications: Must possess a current, valid Cosmetology license from the state where the license was issued or from the Virginia Board for Cosmetology of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Primary Job Duties:

1. Interact with residents to schedule cosmetology appointments according to their preferences.
2. Provide cosmetology services such as shampoo, set, roller patterns, comb out, cut, perm, color, and basic manicure, adhering to state regulations and The Glebe policies.
3. Maintain positive resident relations, responding to inquiries, concerns, and problems in accordance with Resident’s Rights.
4. Follow all safety policies and procedures.
5. Protect resident confidentiality.
6. Foster positive employee relations within the facility.
7. Apply cost control techniques and methods.
8. Assist with inventory control and preventative maintenance of supplies and equipment, documenting appropriately.
9. Set and display prices for services in line with established rates.
10. Post licensure information of each licensed employee.
11. Conduct daily audits at the close of business, handling monies and documentation for resident billing.
12. Implement infection control policies, ensuring compliance with universal precautions and reporting concerns.
13. Maintain cleanliness of the Beauty Shop areas.
