Job summary

St Julien Hotel & Spa in Boulder, CO seeks a passionate Hair Stylist to join our Salon team, offering haircuts, coloring and styling with a luxury guest experience.

Must be Colorado-licensed with 2+ years in a luxury Spa/Salon. Weekend/holiday/evening availability and 2–3 shifts per week (including Fri/Sat/Sun) are required. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, PTO, holidays, sick leave, 401(k) and more.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in Colorado.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a luxury spa/salon.
• Experience with Wella & Oribe products is a plus.
• Flexible availability: weekends, holidays, evenings.
• Minimum 2–3 shifts per week, with one on Fri/Sat/Sun.

Responsibilities

• Review and complete opening/closing procedures and daily responsibilities.
• Consult with guests on desired final look and style preferences.
• Perform services per current established protocol.
• Ensure services run on time so guests can attend other treatments.
• Recommend products with informed guidance based on knowledge.
• Clean station and shampoo bowl after each appointment and prep for next stylist.
• Meet sales goals and build customer retention and repeat visits.
• Maintain knowledge of Spa and Hotel information to answer guest inquiries.
• Take on other duties as requested by manager.

St Julien Hotel & Spa is looking for a passionate Hair Stylist to join our talented Salon team in providing services such as haircuts, coloring, and styling, while ensuring that each guest has enjoyed a luxurious visit to the Spa!

Essential Job Functions:

• Review and complete all opening/closing procedures and daily individual responsibilities.
• Consult with each guest to gain information about their desired final look and style preferences (length of hair, layers, color, etc.).
• Perform all services in accordance with current established protocol.
• Ensure that service is timed properly so that guest can be on time to other Spa/Salon treatment(s).
• Possess excellent knowledge of hair products in order to make informed and appropriate recommendations to guests.
• Clean station and shampoo bowl after each appointment; keep area stocked and prepared for the next stylist and/or service.
• Perform according to company objectives regarding sales, and work to build customer retention and repeat client requests.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of important Spa information/services and general Hotel information to be able to answer guest inquiries.
• Other duties as requested by manager.

Qualifications:

• Must be licensed in the state of Colorado.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a luxury or high-end Spa/Salon required.
• Experience with/knowledge of Wella & Oribe products is a plus!
• Flexible availability is required. Interested candidates must be able to work weekend, holidays, and evenings.
• Minimum 2-3 shift availability/week required with at least 1 shift falling on Fri/Sat/Sun.
