Job summary

A growing technology firm is seeking experienced candidates for a Full-Time Permanent position. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in Information Technology, specifically in J2EE with Spring MVC and REST API. Strong knowledge of Big Data technologies like HBase and Hadoop is required. This role focuses on designing MapReduce jobs and leveraging Unix shell scripting for data pre-processing. U.S. citizens and authorized workers are encouraged to apply; sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in J2EE with Spring MVC and good knowledge of REST API and JSON.
• Strong experience in using HBase on Hadoop for Big Data.
• Designing REST-based Get calls on HBase to retrieve data.

Responsibilities

• Designing MapReduce jobs to work on large amounts of HBase data.
• Pre-processing large amounts of unstructured data using Unix shell scripting.

Job Description

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 7 years of experience within the Information Technologies.
