Wayne Farms LLC in Laurel, MS is hiring for a shift role to ensure HACCP CCPs are monitored per the plant plan, while wearing PPE and adhering to local, state, and federal policies. You will support production and QA, resolve routine deviations, and carry out supervisor-directed duties.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, potential poultry industry exposure, basic math, and English communication skills.

Shift Details & Pay Ranges

SHIFT TIMES MAY VARY Monday through Friday - Shift Time: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. *** OCCASIONAL SATURDAYS ***

Pay Ranges:

• Entry through 4 years of Employment = $19.10


• 5 years through 9 years of Employment = $19.35


• 10 years through 14 years of Employment = $19.60


• 15 years through 19 years of Employment = $19.85


• 20 plus years of Employment = $20.10

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Primarily responsible for ensuring we follow our company's HACCP plan. Responsible for monitoring HACCP CCP’s at the specified frequency as stated in the plant’s HACCP plan or as necessary depending on conditions. Must always use and maintain personal protective equipment, and work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

• Communicate with Production & QA Team Members regarding any deviations from the Critical limits for the CCP being monitored.


• Assist Production with day to day problems and reach workable solutions.


• Perform other duties assigned by their supervisor.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.


• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.


• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent.


• Hatchery or relative poultry industry experience.


• Basic math functions and skills.


• Verbal & Written English skills required.


• Knowledge of food products, food processing and GMPs are helpful.


• Some knowledge of computers or willing to learn about computers.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to safety requirements.


• Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).


• PPE required but subject to change: Hairnet, smock, earplugs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Constant bending and stooping, or walking and standing, for 8 to 10 hrs.


• Lift up to 30 pounds.


• Work in moist and cold environment - approximately 40 degrees.
