Job description

Job Details:

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems, documenting and calculating results accurately, taking corrective action when necessary, alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming product, and reporting results to management. All team members are responsible for safety, including personal safety and food safety.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in the Fresh Meats industry or other QA-related experience required.

Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Special Skills: Ability to complete Tyson paperwork, lead by example, motivate the hourly workforce, problem-solving skills, math and organizational skills, ability to read and interpret product specifications, function well under stress, and flexibility to work where and when needed.

Physical Requirements: Heavy lifting of 70 lbs. or more with assistance.

This position may require working some Saturdays in the plant.
