Job summary

Habitat for Humanity is seeking an AmeriCorps VISTA member to develop and implement new programs, shaping policies and building leadership to increase the number of families served. The position emphasizes community impact, resource leverage, and program development across OHIO locations.

With Habitat AmeriCorps, you can serve in your community or in several locations through the United States. Serve on an active build site or at a local Habitat office assisting homeowner families, volunteers and staff members. Help strengthen communities through a year of service with Habitat AmeriCorps.

Member Duties

The project development VISTA member develops and implements new programs, creates or improves policies or procedures, and develops strategies to build leadership and leverage resources that increase the number of families served through the Habitat mission. This could look like developing plans to engage veterans at the community level, designing a home preservation program or laying the foundation for a neighborhood revitalization program.
