Job summary

Total Safety seeks a dedicated H2S Technician to operate and maintain gas detection systems and breathing air safety equipment on land or offshore drilling rigs where hazardous gases may be present.

You will perform routine checks, calibrations, and safety inspections, follow policies, and document all tasks while supporting on-site operations in Dickinson, ND. This is a safety‑critical role requiring compliance, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months’ H2S and/or Upstream experience.
• First aid responder training preferred.
• State and OSHA regulations training.
• Customer Service skills training.
• Trained to complete site inspections using SMART Inspections program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in rigging gas detection systems.
• Assist in operation and maintenance gas detection systems and breathing air safety equipment.
• Calibrate gas detection.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly checks on equipment.
• Fit testing of customer’s personnel.
• Inspect and service cooling & shower trailers.
• Follow TS & Customer policies and procedures.
