Hours

3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

Compensation

$19.79 per hour* (inclusive of the 4.5% retirement contribution to IMRF)

General Description

The Custodian provides students with a safe, attractive, clean, and efficient environment for learning, planning, and development.

Specific Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned buildings as per the Custodial Procedures Manual.
• Report repairs, supplies needed, and damages to school property.
• Communicate with the Custodial Supervisor and Operations Leadership regarding schedules.
• Remain on school premises, wear district uniform, and display ID during school hours and events.
• Open and close buildings daily, ensuring doors and windows are secured and lights are turned off (except safety lights).
• Move furniture or equipment as required.
• Follow local laws for waste storage and disposal.
• Assist in groundskeeping tasks like rubbish removal and snow/ice management.
• Change light bulbs as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
