Job summary

Oroville Hospital in Oroville, CA is seeking an IS Network Technician to analyze LAN/WAN functionality, peripherals, security and antivirus protection. The role identifies, locates and resolves problems and evaluates trends to anticipate issues.

Responsibilities include maintaining antivirus applications, monitoring efficiency, configuring and maintaining network hardware and software, and assisting in security and access operations for hospital networks.

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of experience in computer network operations with demonstration of increase of skills and responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the network antivirus application, including addition/deletion of users, upgrades and enhancement of software and works with the Exchange administrator to ensure users have the appropriate functionality in place.
• Monitors efficiency of current anti-virus, anti-spam applications providing management with recommendations as to necessary enhancements.
• Utilizing anti-virus application creates and maintains custom filters to protect the Hospital network infrastructures integrity.
• Executes steps necessary to protect network from outside virus, spam, spyware when reported by I.S. Staff or automated alerting system.
• Configures, installs and maintains application and network server hardware and software.
• Configures, installs and maintains user computer system and provides assistance to I.S. Staff.
• Assists in administering Network security and access functions, including network profiles and addressing user questions and concerns related to their security and access to network resources.
• Assists in maintenance of current records relating to network hardware, software and associated licenses, and preparation of applicable reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
