Job summary

WSB is seeking an experienced H&H Specialist to support stormwater and water resources projects with a primary focus on H&H modeling across multiple software platforms. You will perform design calculations, cost estimates, and contribute to technical reports while mentoring Engineering Technicians and graduate engineers.

As you advance, you may help plan and direct project activities, manage budgets, and lead teams to secure new work from clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar from an accredited school with 4–10 years of experience in Water Resources or related field.
• Minnesota PE is preferred but not required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to work in various locations.

Responsibilities

• Work on Stormwater and Water Resource projects with a focus on H&H modeling in platforms like PCSWM, XPSWMM, HECRAS, HydroCAD, StormCAD, P8, and others.
• Perform design calculations, cost estimates, and aspects of design development.
• May compile, write, and edit technical reports, feasibility reports, letters, memos and specifications on Water Resources projects.
• May oversee the work of Engineering Technicians and graduate engineers.

What You Will Do:

H&H Specialist, you will play a supporting role:

• Work on various Stormwater and Water Resource related projects with a primary focus on H&H modeling in various platforms including: PCSWM, XPSWMM, HECRAS, HydroCAD, StormCAD, P8, and others as applicable.
• Performing specific design calculations, cost estimates, and various aspects of design development.
• May compile, write, and edit quality technical reports, feasibility reports, letters, memos and specifications on Water Resources projects.
• May oversee the work of Engineering Technicians and graduate engineers.

As you advance in your career:

• You may also plan, direct, and coordinate all project activities to ensure that H&H models and water resources projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and budgets.
• You will also lead multiple work teams, manage multiple complex projects, identify new projects, formulate project approaches, lead the proposal process, formulate, track and meet project budgets and schedules, and market to and secure work from new and existing clients.

Your experience level will determine the amount of independent judgment granted, the complexity of tasks performed, and direct supervision received.

What You Will Bring:

The successful candidate must have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar degree from an accredited school and 4-10 years of experience in Water Resources or related field.
• Preferred candidate will have their Minnesota PE but it is not required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license along with a clean driving record and have the ability to work in a variety of locations.
