We are seeking a Project Manager specializing in Water Resources. This role offers the opportunity to help guide and expand our water resources team within a multidisciplinary engineering environment serving both public and private-sector clients. The position calls for a professional with extensive technical and management experience in areas such as stormwater master planning, drainage system design, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and regulatory permitting. The selected candidate will also be capable of supporting diverse design efforts within the broader civil engineering field.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple projects in a collaborative, fast-moving work setting.
  • Manage all phases of design projects, including proposal preparation, scope and budget planning, scheduling, and execution.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, agencies, consultants, and internal teams across multiple offices and disciplines.
  • Lead and deliver watershed studies, stormwater management plans, hydrologic/hydraulic (1D/2D) analyses, drainage and erosion control designs, and NPDES permitting.
  • Plan and inspect both conventional and innovative stormwater infrastructure, including LID and BMP systems in urban and rural contexts.
  • Direct FEMA map change requests, capital improvement projects, and other water resource studies.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide quality oversight.
  • Track project scope and budget throughout execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), preferably in Florida.
  • Minimum 8 years’ professional experience in water resources.
  • Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
  • Expertise in stormwater and green infrastructure design.
  • Background in erosion and sediment control design.
  • Experience preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, ArcMap, and modeling software for hydrology/hydraulics.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Capacity to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Client-focused mindset with initiative and teamwork orientation.
  • Strong problem-solving and engineering solution skills.
  • Ability to perform occasional field work, including lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Availability for standard work hours: 7:30 AM–5:30 PM Monday–Thursday, and 7:30 AM–11:30 AM on Friday.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with Florida's regulatory environments.
  • Proficiency in software such as ICPR4, HEC-RAS, XPSWMM, and Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis.
  • Experience with water quality studies and TMDL assessments.
