Job summary
An established industry player is seeking a GYN physician to join their dynamic team in Central Valley, CA. This role involves performing GYN surgeries, managing patient consultations, and providing after-hours support for post-operative care. With a patient volume of 10-15 clinic consults and 6 surgeries per day, you will play a crucial role in a 685-bed Level I Trauma center. The ideal candidate will be board certified or eligible and possess a California medical license. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact in women's health while working alongside a supportive team of healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Must be board certified or eligible and hold a California medical license.
- Robotic surgery experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Conduct GYN surgeries and manage pre/post-operative clinic consultations.
- Provide after-hours call support for post-operative complications.

Duration: May on going
Reason for coverage: Current physician set to retire.
Schedule: Ideally 1-2 weeks per month. 3-4 clinic consult days and 1-2 OR days per week. Will need after hours call for any complications from the patients they operate on
Call: Weeknight and weekend call for any post op complications
Patient volume: Clinic consults: 10-15 per day / OR 6 cases per day (most are hysterectomies)
Scope: GYN only OR and pre/post op clinic consults. May ask for occasional assistance with women s health exams and procedures when in clinic such as colposcopies
EMR: Epic
Hospital: 685 bed, Level I Trauma center
Group/support: Full time APP and part time APP 4 days/mo, MD (retiring), office manager, MAs
Requirements (boards, license): BC/BE, CA License. Robotic experience is a plus but not required
