Job summary

The Gynecology Nurse Coordinator at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' Women Veterans Health Program coordinates timely access to gynecologic care, supports surgical scheduling, and provides education and clinical triage across Seattle and American Lake.

This role collaborates with providers and MSAs to manage appointments, coordinate consultations, and ensure continuity of care in a federal healthcare system, with a Monday–Friday schedule and no telework.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required for direct patient care.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program and eligible for RN licensure in US.
• Possession of current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license.
• May include bridge program pathway and foreign education evaluation as applicable.
• 43 CFR/VA Handbook references for qualification standards and grandfathering provisions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate timely scheduling of gynecologic surgical procedures across Seattle and American Lake.
• Provide pre-operative education and counseling to patients and families.
• Maintain operating room schedules and document cases in scheduling systems.
• Facilitate outpatient evaluations, medical clearances, lodging, and fee-basis services.
• Perform nursing triage via telephone or secure messaging and coordinate cross-site care.
