Job summary

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Gynecologic Oncologist role based in Reno, NV. The gynecologic oncologist will provide specialized clinical care to patients with gynecologic cancers, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing minimally invasive and complex surgical procedures, overseeing chemotherapy and other oncologic treatments, and coordinating care with radiation oncology, palliative care, and other multidisciplinary teams. The role involves reviewing diagnostic imaging and pathology results, participating in tumor boards, and engaging in shared decision‑making with patients and their families. The gynecologic oncologist is also expected to contribute to quality improvement initiatives, participate in research or clinical trials where applicable, and support education for staff and trainees.

Qualifications

• Clinical proficiency in Medicine with a focus on gynecologic care and surgical management of complex conditions.
• Specialized expertise in Oncology, including gynecologic oncology, with experience in comprehensive cancer care.
• In‑depth knowledge of Cancer biology and evidence‑based treatment protocols for gynecologic malignancies.
• Advanced skills in Chemotherapy management, including regimen selection, monitoring, and supportive care.
• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution and completion of an OB/GYN residency.
• Fellowship training in Gynecologic Oncology and board certification or eligibility in Gynecologic Oncology.
• Active or eligible medical license in the state of Nevada and ability to obtain hospital privileges in Reno, NV.
• Demonstrated ability to perform minimally invasive and robotic‑assisted surgery (da Vinci system experience preferred).
Strong communication, teamwork, and patient‑centered care skills, with commitment to ethical and inclusive practice.
• Interest in participation in clinical research, clinical trials, and ongoing professional development.
