UW Health Northern Illinois is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP with RNFA/First assist) to join our gynecologic oncology program in Rockford, IL. This role emphasizes outpatient care with inpatient consults and an active first assist, including robotic surgery, in a collaborative cancer program.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with RNFA/First assist certification.
• Eligible for Illinois licensure and DEA registration (or ability to obtain on hire).
• Oncology, gynecology, or surgical experience preferred.
• Strong procedural and surgical assisting abilities.
• Strong communication and collaborative teamwork skills.
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ambulatory care for patients with gynecologic malignancies.
• Participate in consultative inpatient care and postoperative management.
• Serve as first assist in the operating room, including robotic procedures.
• Perform inpatient rounding with multiple specialties as needed.
• Participate in a shared 1:4 call schedule with call/weekend compensation.
• Care for patients across a 12-county regional network.
