Job summary

The Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA is seeking part-time Gymnastics Coaches in Seffner, FL. Coaches will run practices for youth aged 4–17, train up to levels 5–10 and participate in competitions, ensuring safety and skill progression. Strong communication with youth and parents is essential.

Responsibilities include planning weekly lessons, supervising routines, and maintaining equipment safety. Certification in USAG Safety and CPR/First Aid is required within 30 days, with travel to competitions

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in gymnastics.
• Knowledge of USAG women’s events: Floor, Beam, Bars, Vault.
• Must have Florida Driver’s License with good driving record.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Gymnastics Director and coaches for team results.
• Develop weekly lesson plans for progression of skills.
• Instruct USAG routines on Floor, Beam, Bars, Vault.
• Ensure safety rules and equipment checks before/after use.
• Travel to weekend competitions with team gymnasts.
• Maintain records and progress reports.
