Camp Walt Whitman is seeking a Gymnastics coach for the summer. The responsibilities include planning, developing, and executing lessons for campers aged 8-15 across all skill levels 1-7. Coaches must operate independently and responsibly, capable of engaging and instructing a diverse range of interests and skills within the same lesson. Modeling good sportsmanship and positive coaching is fundamental at Camp Walt Whitman. Coaches will also have the opportunity to coach campers in inter-camp tournaments.
This position offers valuable experience, especially for current collegiate athletes, allowing them to coach while continuing their own training in various sports.
Dates: June 10th - August 9th, 2024
Compensation: Salary, travel stipend, room & board, and CPR & First Aid Certification are provided. Internship opportunities are available; please inquire to coordinate with your school’s internship requirements.
Note: Students should verify with their educational institutions regarding internship approval prior to accepting the position.
