South.St High School Athletics department is seeking a Gymnastics Assistant Coach to support the Head Coach and Athletic Director. This role focuses on teaching fundamentals, conditioning, and game-day preparation for gymnastics activities.

The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership, strong work ethic, and the ability to work with students, parents, and staff to foster a safe, positive learning environment and advance the gymnastics program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge and background in gymnastics/assigned activity.
• Proven experience in teaching and modeling character and responsibility.
• Positive, high-energy, and committed.
• Ability to partner with parents, staff, and community leaders.
• Focus on student growth and continuous improvement beyond winning.

Responsabilités

• Understand proper administrative lines of authority and refer requests through proper channels.
• Maintain discipline and promote morale within the school activity program.
• Assist head coach with scheduling and transportation to away events.
• Safeguard equipment and facilities; ensure doors, lights, and locks are secured when leaving.
• Provide training rules and regimens to participants; enforce discipline when needed.
• Maintain records of team statistics and lettering requirements.
• Participate in planning and implementing in-season and out-of-season conditioning and weight programs.
• Attend contests when possible and seek opportunities for skill development through clinics.
