Job summary

snapfitnesscareers is seeking a part-time janitorial associate to perform general upkeep of the gym and provide a clean environment for members. Morning/early afternoon hours are available, approx 5-7 hours per week.

Responsibilities include cleaning facility and equipment, restocking supplies, and reporting maintenance needs. Prior cleaning experience preferred; ability to follow directions and work independently is required.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months' experience in cleaning/janitorial.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to follow written and oral directions and work independently.
• Friendly, reliable and have good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Cleans gym facility & equipment according to cleaning checklist.
• Keeps all areas clean and litter free including floors, bathrooms, and windows.
• Restocks consumables and disposables (toilet paper, soap, towels, etc.).
• Reports repairs or replacements needed to supervisor.
• Gathers lost and found items throughout the gym.

The primary responsibility is to perform general upkeep of the gym and provide a clean environment for members.

Essential Functions

Maintains a clean and safe environment for members.

• Cleans gym facility & equipment in accordance with the cleaning checklist.
• Ensures all areas are clean and litter free, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, sweeping, windows, mirrors, cleaning/wipe down of cardio and weight equipment, functional training area, and bathrooms.
• Picks up trash in all areas of the gym and dispose in dumpster.
• Restock and replace all consumable items (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, trash bags, etc.)
• Advises assistant anagers of needs to maintain facility: repairs needed, replacement of light bulbs, etc.
• Gather lost and found items from throughout the gym.

Minimum Requirements

At least 6 month's work experience in a cleaning/janitorial position.

Job Type

Part-Time Position. Approximately 5-7 hours per week (including weekends) during morning/early afternoon hours between 8:00am - 2:00pm.

Experience

• Cleaning: 1 year (Preferred)

Requirements

All applicants must be able to bend, stoop, reach high and low and work at a constant pace, able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, ability to communicate with manager. Applicants must be detail oriented. Janitorial, custodial or general cleaning experience preferred.
