Job summary

VASA Fitness in Bountiful, Utah is seeking a Maintenance Technician who takes pride in hands-on problem solving to keep our club safe, functional, and welcoming for members.

This role involves preventive maintenance, equipment repair, and safety compliance across cardio and strength areas. You\'ll work with CMMS, coordinate with leadership, and build valuable technical skills in a fast-paced, member-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Interest or experience in maintenance, facilities, construction, or related hands-on field.
• 1–2 years of maintenance experience preferred; training available.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues.
• Experience with CMMS or work order systems; basic project tools.
• Valid driver's license; mileage reimbursement when using personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on club equipment and building systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests quickly to minimize downtime.
• Maintain cardio, strength, and general workout equipment in safe condition.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues.
• Document work in CMMS with parts used and repairs.
• Conduct club walks and report safety concerns to leadership.
• Own general facility upkeep including painting, patching, carpentry, and groundskeeping.
• Collaborate with the General Manager, District Manager, vendors and contractors as needed.
