Retro Fitness in Long Island, NY, is seeking a Professional Cleaner to keep the club clean, safe, and member-ready. You will be on your feet most of the shift, responsible for lockers, restrooms, and high‑traffic areas, and may work early mornings, evenings, or overnight.

You will be part of a team that values pride in cleanliness and reliability. This hands‑on role offers hourly pay based on experience, plus opportunities for advancement and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Reliable and shows up on time every shift.
• Comfortable working independently without supervision.
• Willing to clean all areas of the club, including locker rooms and restrooms.
• Able to stay active for the full shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and takes pride in clean environments.
• Comfortable working early mornings, evenings, or overnight shifts.
• Prior janitorial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Keep the gym clean, organized, and member-ready at all times.
• Clean and sanitize locker rooms, restrooms, and high-traffic areas throughout your shift.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain all flooring areas.
• Wipe down equipment and high-touch surfaces during peak hours.
• Remove trash and maintain cleanliness standards across the entire club.
• Restock paper towels, soap, and cleaning supplies.
• Complete daily cleaning checklists with consistency and accountability.
• Handle light maintenance such as minor repairs or touch-ups.
• Identify and address cleanliness or safety issues immediately.
