GxP Automation Technician
Job Description Summary
The GxP Automation Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining the BMS and EMS, Veriteq system. The GxP Automation Lead will ensure these systems are monitored and functioning as per design and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete work requests, maintenance projects, and operational assignments with minimal supervision, escalating when necessary.
- Proficient in operating automation systems (EMS, BMS, standalone PLCs) and understanding their sequences for proper operation.
- Understand start/stop sequences for building systems.
- Collaborate with cross-departmental stakeholders to achieve goals.
- Train and oversee the facilities operations team.
- Plan and execute site projects, coordinating with subcontractors to ensure safety, scope, schedule, and budget compliance.
- Hold regular meetings with team members to address goals and concerns.
- Coordinate with the reliability engineering department for preventive and predictive maintenance planning.
- Work with Planning and Scheduling to efficiently assign tasks and maintain schedules.
- Assist the engineering team with eCRs and SOP-0666a forms.
- Follow SOPs and WIs for safe work execution.
- Monitor systems and respond to alarms.
- Apply GEP for troubleshooting facility and system issues.
- Participate in on-call duties for emergencies.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with OSHA policies.
- Complete all required training.
- Lead routine and non-routine maintenance activities and perform root-cause analysis.
- Ensure documentation following GMP standards.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Manufacturing and Quality.
- Read system and engineering drawings (P&IDs).

Position Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with electrical, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and equipment maintenance.
- Experience with BMS and CMMS systems.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, GxP, OSHA regulations.
- Experience with Job Hazard Analysis and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Physical ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs, stand all day, climb stairs/ladders.
