Job summary

United Pharma is seeking a mid-level Automation Engineer to design, integrate, commission, and validate automated warehouse and packaging systems in a GMP-regulated environment.

You will collaborate with Packaging Operations, Warehouse, Quality, Manufacturing, CSV, IT/OT, and external vendors to deliver reliable, compliant automation solutions, including ASRS and AGVs, while applying sound engineering principles across controls and networking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in GxP-regulated environments with validation expectations.
• Hands-on automation implementation in regulated manufacturing settings.
• Experience with ASRS, AGVs, and integrated automation systems.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0, IIoT, and digital manufacturing.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in design, logistics, integration, and operational readiness of automated packaging lines interfacing with the warehouse, including ASRS and AGV systems.
• Support the development of equipment and system specifications to meet material flow and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and support compliance documentation for ASRS, AGVs, and automated warehouse systems.
• Ensure ASRS, AGV, and related automation system design and operation meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead commissioning, qualification, validation, and startup support activities for new automated packaging and warehouse systems.
• Lead and support development, testing, implementation, validation, and ongoing operation of critical automation and software systems.
• Coordinate with QA, CSV, Packaging, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and IT/OT teams to maintain GxP compliance and support seamless system integration.
