Description

About The Role

A Bell Person greets guests with a smile and assists with luggage, transportation, and guest inquiries, working closely with other hotel departments to ensure a positive guest experience. They are responsible for maintaining a welcoming lobby environment and ensuring the entrance is presentable at all times.

Essential Duties

  • Greet guests upon arrival and assist with luggage if needed.
  • Stay informed about hotel and local area information, including directions and recommendations.
  • Coordinate with hotel departments to meet guest needs.
  • Lift and move objects weighing up to 80 pounds.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods during shifts.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending and twisting.

Specific Requirements

  • Greet guests warmly, make them feel welcome, and anticipate their needs.
  • Escort guests to their rooms following hotel procedures.
  • Handle guest luggage and equipment efficiently.
  • Explain room features such as climate controls, TV, minibar, safe, and amenities.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bell closet and carts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proven customer service experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Hotel experience preferred.
  • Good physical condition to lift and transport luggage.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
