Job summary

Ride Care is seeking a Transport Driver to perform long- and short-distance transports within and outside our contracted area. The role is full-time and remote with a fluid block schedule, providing a vehicle and software tools.

You will interact with facility staff, clients, and families, ensuring safe, on-time transports and accurate reporting. Requirements include at least a high school diploma, an excellent driving record, and strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Drive long- and short-distance routes and coordinate with dispatchers.
• Safely retrieve and secure clients and belongings for trips to facilities.
• Maintain detailed logs of hours and trips for monthly reporting.
• Report vehicle defects and incidents to the Field Supervisor.
• Enter data into Samsara and maintain logs of calls, incidents, and miles.
• Maintain professional interactions with facility staff, clients, and families.
• Assist in updating facility contacts and improving transport efficiency.

Job description

Basic Job Description:The Transport Driver plays a key role in our work of transporting clients to needed care within and outside our contracted area. They are often the only in-person representative of the company, providing excellent customer service to facility staff, clients, and family members.This full-time position is remote with a fluid block schedule. Car and software are provided; PTO, healthcare benefits, and 401(k) are available.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLong- and short-distance driving, coordinating routes and schedules with dispatchers.Retrieve and secure clients and personal belongings for trip to destination facility.Maintain detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and company policies, submitting monthly to Field Supervisor.Ensure mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected promptly, reporting defects, accidents, and violations immediately.Perform daily maintenance of vehicle (refueling, cleaning, snacks/water, etc.)Interact with facility staff, clients, and family members in a professional manner.Address problems and create solutions, collaborating with Dispatcher and elevating problems to Field Supervisor when necessary.Enter data into Samsara system, maintain logs of calls, incidents, miles driven and more, submitting reports monthly to Field Supervisor.Work collaboratively with Director of Operations and Field Supervisors to update and maintain a list of facility contacts.Drive excellence by creating efficiencies that will reduce the arrival time for transports (under the 2-hour maximum). Report all overages to Field Supervisor.Other duties as assigned by Leadership.RequirementsMinimum of a high school degree; excellent driving record.Must be at least 26 years of age.Experience in the military, security, law enforcement, mental health or other relevant position.Proficient in English (oral and written); active listener.Tech-savvy, good typing skills, and experience with data entry.Proven ability to work remotely, managing time effectively to produce results.Operate in highly stressful situations from both internal and external sources, adapting and making decisions as needed.Ability to multi-task, interpreting on-going problems and suggesting possible solutions.
