Job description

The Gunsmith will be responsible to modify, repair, and maintain our customers’ firearms.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Communicate effectively with customers about gun problems, modifications, and maintenance
  • Be able to use grinders, mills, lathes and other gunsmithing tools
  • Use the best techniques to maintain, modify, and repair customers’ firearms
  • Keep accurate documentation of work performed on each firearm
  • Maintain the cleanliness of our gunsmith shop
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Sound knowledge of gun control laws and gun safety
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a gunsmith apprenticeship or accredited gunsmith program is strongly preferred
  • Eager to train and learn new skills
  • Knowledge of firearm modification, assembly, repair, and maintenance
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
