Gunite Truck Driver Davenport, FL

Primary Job Function

Drivers load trucks with a front end loader and cement silo, accompany the gunite crew to each job, set up equipment, unload hoppers, roll out hoses, and assist with site setup and cleanup. While working, they manage material flow and ensure equipment is operational, maintaining safety and environmental standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety standards are met, comply with legislation, and promote a safe environment.
• Report to work on time.
• Operate power equipment and hand tools safely, following DOT regulations.
• Conduct daily pre/post trip inspections.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, report deficiencies.
• Maintain visual contact with the crew, using communication signals.
• Assist with setup and cleanup of jobsite tools and equipment.
• Keep guns, augers, and hoses clean and maintained.
• Lubricate equipment daily.
• Manage hoses and related equipment responsibly.

Qualifications

• One year of commercial driving experience preferred but not required.
• Valid Class A or B CDL License.
• Knowledge of construction hazards and safety precautions.
• Understanding of construction materials, tools, and methods.
• Skill in operating tools and equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Capable of performing manual tasks in various weather conditions.
• Must operate manual transmission vehicles.
