Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates seeks a Material Handler in Illinois to support the supply department, operate a stand-up forklift, and ensure material accountability. You will work with Production Leads to replenish materials safely and on time.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, manufacturing experience, ability to lift 60 pounds, and computer literacy for data entry in the Weever system. Cross-training and strong safety performance are expected.

The primary responsibility of the Material Handler is to perform all functions associated with the supply department, including but not limited to:

• Run gum recovery department
• Ability to operate a stand-up forklift
• Material accountability
• Support Area Lead with all activities associated with supply department

What are we looking for?

Shift Schedule: Pitman Days (6:00 Am – 6:30 pm)

2 nights on, 2 nights off, 3 nights on, 2 nights off, 2 nights on, 3 nights off

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• manufacturing experience.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds.
• Ability to quickly respond.
• troubleshooting ability
• Computer literate with an ability to enter, record, maintain and retrieve information in a computer-based data collection system (weever)

Preferred Skills

• Food manufacturing experience and knowledge of food safety.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Forklift certified.
• The ability to lift 60 pounds

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range listed is applicable to IL:USD 20.72 - USD 28.49
