Job summary

Solairus Aviation seeks a Captain to safely operate the Gulfstream G600, overseeing preflight to arrival, and ensuring compliance with all FAA regulations. You will lead communications, CRM, and paperwork while maintaining a safety-first culture.

The role requires 3,000+ total hours (PIC 1,500+; MEL 1,500+), a G600 type rating, and a current FAA First Class Medical. Candidates must live within two hours of KAUS or relocate accordingly.

Qualifications

• Total flight time: 3,000+ hours. PIC time: 1,500+ hours. MEL: 1,500+ hours.
• MEL PIC: 500+ hours. Turbojet: 500+ hours. Instrument: 250+ hours.
• Type rating on Gulfstream G600 or similar aircraft required.
• Current FAA First Class Medical is required.
• Must be able to work on an on-call basis.
• Willingness to complete ICAO procedures training annually.
• Residence within a two-hour drive of KAUS or willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pilot in Command, ensuring safety of passengers, crew, and aircraft at all times.
• Review maintenance status and airworthiness prior to each flight.
• Conduct thorough preflight inspections as per Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Plan weather, NOTAMs, routes, alternates, and airport facilities for all flight phases.
• Operate in compliance with Solairus procedures and FAA regulations.
• Maintain professional CRM and decision-making throughout operations.
• Accurately complete and submit all trip paperwork and documentation.

The Mission

As Captain, you will be accountable for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the Gulfstream G600 on every leg—from meticulous preflight preparation to smooth arrival. You will champion a safety-first culture, uphold Solairus policies, and ensure full adherence to applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.

What You’ll Do
