Job summary

SME Careers, a fast-growing AI Data Services company and subsidiary of SuperAnnotate, seeks a Gujarati Quality Assurance Lead to oversee quality across Gujarati AI training projects. You will review AI-generated content, provide precise feedback, and ensure adherence to project rubrics and guidelines.

This remote hourly contractor role requires strong Gujarati and English skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in coordinating remote trainers and QAs using Discord, Google Sheets,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics.
• Native or near-native Gujarati proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
• Strong grasp of English to follow project guidelines and provide feedback in English.
• 3+ years of professional Gujarati writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA or related language-review workflows.
• Strong Gujarati grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, register, and cultural context.
• Ability to evaluate Gujarati content against detailed rubrics and identify issues.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs is preferred.
• Comfortable with Discord, Google Sheets, Docs, trackers, dashboards and project management systems.

Responsibilities

• Quality monitoring: spot-check Gujarati items and provide feedback.
• Trainer and QA communication: update on guidelines and changes via Discord.
• Question handling: respond to Gujarati wording, register, translation fidelity and context questions.
• Trainer/QA activation management: DM inactive contributors and track follow-ups.
• Documentation: create and maintain Gujarati project docs including style guides and FAQs.
• Onboarding and training: run onboarding calls to explain expectations and workflows.
• Quality alignment: ensure guideline consistency as projects evolve.
• Process improvement: identify gaps and propose scalable QA processes.
