The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division is seeking a Music Program Coordinator to work with children and adults in a community setting. Responsibilities include leading music classes, organizing performances, and encouraging program participation.
A bachelor's degree in music or equivalent experience is preferred, along with at least two years of related work experience. Ideal candidates will possess strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to supporting the mission of The Salvation Army.
Work with children and adults in the corps and community to plan and implement a music program which will include teaching theory, performance skills, music, and values.

This position is required to do light physical work periodically in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to use instruments and equipment needed in a music program. Frequent use of standard office equipment and a PC is also required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job.
Occasional travel may be required.
Employee must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business.
The work environment for this position includes a program environment with moderate to high noise level.
