The Salvation Army in Phoenix seeks a Guitar Instructor to develop lesson plans and teach beginners to intermediate students aged 8-14, focusing on chords, strumming and music reading. Classes meet Thursdays 6:00 PM–6:45 PM, requiring patience, creativity, and an engaging teaching style to build a supportive learning environment.
Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of teaching experience; related certification or degree is preferred.
Position Summary:
Guitar Instructors should be highly motivated educators of music. They will develop lesson plans and instruct beginner to intermediate guitar students ages 8-14, covering chords, strumming, and music reading. Class meets on Thursdays from 6:00 PM – 6:45 PM. The ideal candidate should demonstrate patience, musical talent, and creativity while providing an engaging and supportive learning environment for young guitarists.
HOURLY RATE OF PAY: $20.00 to $35.00 DOEE
