Guitar Teacher - Glenview, IL

Twelve Tone Music School is looking for a charismatic and energetic guitar instructor who can lead a dynamic and fun class for both group guitar classes and private guitar classes. We are looking for an instructor who can teach all levels of guitar. Part time schedule is for Saturdays (10:00am-3:00pm), Mondays and Tuesdays (4:00pm - 8:00pm).

We offer:

• Part time teaching schedule (2-3 weekdays + 1 weekend day) with potential of more days.

Teacher Requirements:

• A professional background in music with the ability to play and teach guitar up to an advanced level.
• Formal music training required; higher degree in music, education and/or performing arts a plus.
• Must live in the Chicagoland area, located in Glenview IL.
• Ability to follow prewritten curriculum, altering as needed to ensure the success and motivation of the student body.
• Willingness to adapt to music curriculum and communicate with Music Director on a regular basis.
• Experience with lessons in both a group and private setting.
• Able to lead a student band and arrange music a plus.
• Work with the Music Director to prepare students for shows and events.
• Willing and able to work a number of student showcases throughout the year.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all Twelve Tone Music School students, staff and parents.
• Ability to work on a team.
• Technologically capable and willing to learn and use our proprietary LMS to ensure student success.
• Enjoys being around children in a fun, personable and outgoing atmosphere while nurturing creative growth!
• Must pass a background check.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
