Job summary

KDM is hiring a Guillotine Operator for 2nd shift in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role focuses on setting up and operating paper cutting equipment, reviewing tickets, and ensuring quality with precise measurements.

You will support production planning, monitor workflow, and troubleshoot equipment in a fast-paced environment. Starting pay ranges from $22 to $30 per hour, with a stay bonus program for operators and maintenance techs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years operating paper cutting or guillotine equipment in a printing, packaging, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading and interpreting work orders, job tickets, and production specifications.
• Strong understanding of measurements, layouts, and cutting tolerances.
• Ability to use measuring tools including rulers, calipers, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Basic computer proficiency and experience with production reporting systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods throughout the shift.

LOCATION:

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Cincinnati, Ohio area

COMPENSATION:

Starting at $22.00 per hour to $30.00 per hour based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated expertise.

STAY BONUS:

General Operators & Maintenance Technicians Total Bonus of $1500

Specialized Operators Total Bonus $2500

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

Preferred

• Experience operating Polar, Challenge, or similar programmable paper cutters.
• Experience within printing, packaging, POP displays, direct mail, labels, graphics, or related manufacturing industries.
• Knowledge of paper stocks, printed materials, and finishing processes.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and machine setup adjustments.
• Familiarity with production workflow software and data collection systems.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 6S, and continuous improvement practices.
