About the Role

COUNTRY Financial is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and highly motivated Guidewire Solution Architect to join the Commercial & Agribusiness Insurance Application Development team. As a member of the team, you will work closely with other solution architects, technology development teams, and business units during the development and implementation of the new Guidewire PolicyCenter policy administration system supporting farm and commercial lines of business. This key role provides oversight and technical direction to teams comprising business partners and technology team members from COUNTRY Financial, a system integrator, and software vendors to deliver solutions that meet business partner expectations.

Responsibilities

• Design solutions after gathering business and technical requirements.
• Develop high‑performing software solutions that meet technical standards.
• Support testing and problem‑solving/debugging of solutions.
• Implement software solutions following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and provide guidance on data model changes and code quality.
• Work with support teams to resolve complex performance issues.
• Create process diagrams for business solutions.
• Communicate with senior leadership to remove blockers and share successes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Typically requires 14+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education, and training.
• Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
• Experience with Commercial Lines Property/Casualty insurance products.
• Expert knowledge of Guidewire’s PolicyCenter, including configuration, integration capabilities, and cloud implementations.
• Forward‑thinking skills and the ability to recommend improvement ideas to drive business direction.
• Experience working with developers to translate technical requirements into design solutions.
• Ability to provide guidance on data model changes and code quality, including supporting teams in code reviews.
• Strong capability in resolving performance issues and performing impact analysis for system changes.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask, prioritize, and demonstrate appropriate urgency.
• Proven experience working within Agile development life cycles, with a deep understanding of the interactions between engineers, analysts, and testers.
• Experience on large strategic, multi‑phase projects involving multiple teams and 50+ employees.
• Experience using Rally and working in a SAFe Agile environment.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, BitBucket, and GitLab.

Pay

Base pay range: $138,800 – $190,850. The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers. Factors used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is also eligible for a short‑term incentive plan.
