Job summary

Global Business Ser. 4u in Hartford, CT or Hunt Valley, MD (Hybrid – 3 days in office) seeks a Guidewire PolicyCenter Technical Lead. Independent work visa holders only; relocation is supported.

You will lead end-to-end PolicyCenter design and integrations, mentor engineers, and drive reusable integration components. Core work includes IG, APD, Gosu development, PCF, and cloud deployments/upgrades, collaborating with architects, QA, DevOps, and vendors.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT (preferred) with 6+ years hands-on PolicyCenter experience
• 2–3 years as Technical Lead or equivalent leadership role
• Must hold Guidewire PolicyCenter Cloud Version certification

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert in Guidewire PolicyCenter, Integration, IG, and App Events
• Lead end-to-end design and implementation of PolicyCenter solutions, including product modeling and integrations
• Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and ensure quality delivery
• Configure and customize APD, product model, rating, underwriting rules, data model, PCF, forms, and code generation
• Design and implement integrations using IG, REST services, messaging framework, and plugins
• Implement event-driven integrations with App Events, including schema design and error handling
• Support Guidewire Cloud Platform deployments and upgrades
• Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, QA, DevOps, and vendors
• Drive innovation, performance optimization, and reusable integration components

Role: Guidewire Policy Center Technical Lead

Location: Hartford, CT or Hunt Valley, MD (Hybrid - 3 days in office) - open to talent relocating

Looking for Independent work visa holder only

• Integration Gateway (IG) Mastery: Candidate must have hands-on experience with Apache Camel. If they don’t know Camel, they don’t know IG.
• App Events SME: Proven experience implementing event-driven patterns and schema designs in recent cloud releases (Oulu, Niseko, or Las Lenas).
• Active APD User: They must have used Advanced Product Designer to generate code, entities, and PCFs—not just for high-level product modeling.
• Cloud Certification: Must hold a current Guidewire PolicyCenter Cloud Version certification.

Certifications

• Required: Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration with Cloud version.
• Preferred: PolicyCenter ACE, Integration ACE.
