Job summary

Elantis is seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst for our Woodland Hills, California office. This role features a hybrid schedule with 2 days in the office and 3 days from home, and may consider remote candidates on the West Coast willing to travel to Woodland Hills.

You will partner with development teams and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements, and to design functional specifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience.
• General insurance knowledge, preferably Workers’ Compensation.
• Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter.
• SQL proficiency and relational databases preferred.
• Experience with Cognos, Tableau, and Snowflake preferred.
• Experience using AI platforms/tools (CoPilot preferred).

Manager Note: This is an IT Business Analyst role within the IT team. Key responsibilities and skills include:

• Partner directly with Development teams and Business stakeholders
• Act as a liaison between Business and Technology teams
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements
• Develop functional and technical specifications
• Understand and support the Guidewire PolicyCenter Producer Model
• Coordinate and validate integrations with external systems
• Perform SQL queries, data analysis, and data validation
• Support testing, issue analysis, and production troubleshooting
• Facilitate requirement walkthroughs and stakeholder discussions
• Participate in Agile and project delivery activities

• This position will be in our Woodland Hills, California office. This position will work on a hybrid schedule with 2 days working in office and 3 days from home. Remote candidates on the west coast in the pacific time zone may also be considered. If remote, candidates must travel occasionally to the Woodland Hills office.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed business analysis to understand and document business requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate business needs.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for business processes, systems, and workflows.
• Work closely with IT and development teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into actionable insights through the design and development of dashboards and reports using Cognos and Tableau

Job Qualifications

• Generally, 5 or more years of related experience.
• General insurance industry knowledge is required. Preferably Workers’ Compensation insurance.
• Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter.
• Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases is preferred, but not required.
• Experience with Cognos, Tableau, and Snowflake is preferred, but not required.
• Experience using AI platforms and tools (CoPilot preferred).
