Job summary

AAA Auto Club Enterprises is seeking a Guidewire Developer to help transition markets to Guidewire PolicyCenter. You will work in a 70+ developer team, coding in Gosu and using Studio, with heavy emphasis on integration, UI changes, and unit testing.

Expect on-call duties, daily standups, and frequent sprint-based delivery. The role requires strong Java/JavaScript/SQL and Guidewire experience, with API development via Mulesoft and web service integrations (SOAP/REST).

Qualifications

• Experience in a production environment.
• On-call readiness and triage of incoming tickets.
• Ability to troubleshoot, fix bugs, and review logs to identify root causes.
• Experience with Agile teams, daily standups, and sprint delivery.
• Prior Guidewire experience, especially PolicyCenter integration and configurations.
• Extensive coding experience: Java, JavaScript, SQL, Gosu, IntelliJ, and Studio.
• Ability to build APIs with Mulesoft and work on React or Node.js for digital apps.
• Experience integrating with web services: Postman, SOAP, REST.

Responsibilities

• Work on sprint stories in two-week sprints; mostly development days.
• Code in Gosu using Studio for Guidewire development.
• Implement UI changes, messaging, service integrations, and page configuration edits.
• Write unit tests using Guidewire’s testing framework.
• Support testing by designing or executing testing plans.
• Present completed stories during sprint reviews to developers, product owners, and stakeholders.
• Present to groups that can exceed 100 people in meetings when needed.
