**Job Description**

The Recreation Worker I will act as a lead in personal interpretation of cultural, historical, and natural resources while providing support to guests in an outdoor environment. Responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

**COMPENSATION:** The hourly rate for this position is $16.24. This is Aramark's good faith estimate of the compensation as of the posting date.

**Job Responsibilities**

1. Lead guests on organized and educational excursions.
2. Provide leadership and training for Level I & II guides.
3. Greet guests, provide safety and equipment orientation, and explain area regulations and safety procedures.
4. Adhere to safety policies to ensure guest safety.
5. Ensure guides comply with the Operations Manual and Contracts.
6. Be familiar with MSDS sheets and use this information as needed.
7. Test communication equipment prior to use.
8. Provide knowledgeable support and reassurance to clients.
9. Educate oneself on local ecology, geology, history, and culture to effectively inform guests.
10. Offer interpretation in various settings and engage visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
11. Follow cash handling policies and ensure security of assets.
12. Maintain a safe work environment through daily maintenance and housekeeping.
13. Work in conditions with exposure to elements and extreme temperatures.
14. Deliver excellent customer service with a positive attitude.

**Qualifications**

• Training in First Aid protocols (e.g., Wilderness First Responder, EMT) preferred.
• Multilingual skills are a plus.
• Extensive guiding experience in similar environments.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for varied periods.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Availability for flexible hours.
• Physical demands may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking/standing. Uniforms and PPE may be required.
