What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with coding leadership and clinical support staff to ensure accurate coding practices
- Conduct coding research and create documented recommendations based on findings
- Develop and maintain coding guidelines in accordance with ICD, CPT, and HCPCS standards
- Monitor regulatory updates and communicate changes to coding guidelines and practices
- Serve as a resource for coding team members and clinic leadership regarding coding regulations

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a progressive hospital environment focused on professional coding
- CCS, CCA, CCS-P, RHIA, RHIT, CPC, or SCP certification from recognized organizations
- Comprehensive knowledge of coding guidelines, medical terminology, and anatomy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic coding systems
