Job summary

Hawaiian Building Maintenance in Waikiki seeks a Guest Service and Traffic Attendant to welcome guests, assist with luggage, and guide traffic safely. You will help guests with directions and monitor entrance activity to maintain smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a Hawaii driver’s license, English fluency (Japanese a plus), and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Outdoor work and shift flexibility are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must pass HBM prescreen check.
• Valid Hawaii Driver’s License required.
• Fluency in English; Japanese is a plus.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Able to lift and carry luggage up to 50 pounds.
• Hospitality or guest-service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and visitors professionally.
• Direct guests with luggage to the ADA elevator.
• Assist with carrying luggage safely when appropriate.
• Provide directions to amenities, lobby areas and destinations.
• Maintain a visible entrance presence to assist guests.
• Monitor porte cochere traffic and direct vehicles accordingly.
• Direct arriving/departing vehicles to loading zones.
• Minimize idling and keep traffic moving after unloading.
