Job summary

Hotel Equities is seeking a friendly Guest Services Representative to join our front desk team and deliver welcoming, efficient service throughout the guest journey. You will assist with arrivals, payments, reservations, and guest requests while maintaining accurate records and coordinating with other hotel departments.

We value professionalism, calm problem-solving, and a service-first mindset. Flexible hours including nights and weekends are required to support hotel operations and guest

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer and cash-handling skills.
• Previous hotel, front desk, customer service, or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests with professionalism.
• Process arrivals, departures, reservations, payments, and requests.
• Respond promptly to questions and special requests.
• Resolve issues and escalate to management when needed.
• Maintain accurate guest information and shift records.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments.
• Promote hotel services and guest opportunities.
• Follow cash-handling, privacy, and security procedures.
• Monitor lobby/front desk for a welcoming environment.
• Complete shift responsibilities and communicate during handoffs.

As Guest Services Representative, you'll play an important role in supporting hotel operations, delivering exceptional service, and helping our team achieve its operational and business goals.

Job Purpose

The Front Office position is responsible for delivering welcoming, efficient, and professional service throughout the guest arrival, stay, and departure experience. This position assists guests with requests, reservations, payments, information, and service recovery while supporting smooth daily hotel operations.

What You'll Do

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service throughout their stay.
• Process arrivals, departures, reservations, payments, and guest requests accurately.
• Respond promptly to questions, concerns, and special requests.
• Resolve routine guest issues and elevate concerns to management when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate guest information, records, and shift documentation.
• Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, sales, and other hotel departments.
• Promote hotel services, amenities, and relevant guest opportunities.
• Follow cash-handling, security, privacy, and hotel operating procedures.
• Monitor the lobby and front desk area to maintain a welcoming and organized environment.
• Complete assigned shift responsibilities and maintain effective communication during handoffs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hotel, front desk, customer service, or related experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to remain professional and composed while resolving guest concerns.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods and move throughout the front office area.
• Sit, bend, reach, and lift as needed to complete job duties.
• Occasionally lift and carry supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Use computers, phones, tablets, and standard office equipment for extended periods.
