Job summary

HopCat in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Part Time Front Desk/Host to warmly welcome guests, manage seating flow, and communicate clearly from arrival to departure. You will seat guests, maintain the waitlist in OpenTable, and assist with takeout and guest questions.

Flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays are required. Pay ranges from $14 to $16 per hour with tips where applicable; BarFly offers training, growth potential, and employee discounts in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or customer-service experience is preferred but not required.
• Comfort using tablets, reservation platforms, and restaurant technology.
• Strong verbal communication and the ability to manage several priorities at once.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manage reservations, the waitlist, and seating through OpenTable.
• Seat guests according to rotation, table readiness, and manager direction.
• Recognize celebrations and communicate special occasions.
• Maintain accurate communication with servers, bussers, and managers.
• Answer phones and assist with common guest questions.
• Route large-party and event inquiries to management.
• Assist with takeout and other guest-service needs when assigned.
