Job summary

NewSpring Church in Spartanburg is seeking a Guest Services Director to lead a volunteer-driven team and ensure a welcoming environment that aligns with our vision. You will coach volunteers, manage operations for Sunday gatherings, and collaborate with Safety and Campus teams to maintain consistent guest experiences.

The role requires a full-time schedule and a college degree is preferred. Housing allowance is possible, with a standard weekly pattern that includes weekend and weekday hours.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Guest Services mission aligned with NewSpring Church vision.
• Build and pastor a leadership team of volunteers in Guest Services.
• Coordinate Sunday environment with Guest Services MPS.
• Review metrics and use data to follow up with volunteers and guests.
• Partner with Safety Director to onboard/train volunteers.
• Foster cross-ministry collaboration for the Spartanburg Campus.
• Adhere to staff policies and handbook.

Role Description:

The Guest Services Director is responsible for leading, building, and pastoring a team to create a welcoming environment, aligning all guest services efforts with the church's vision and the Guest Services’ standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee Guest Services mission while aligning it with the overall vision of NewSpring Church


• Embody NewSpring and Guest Services mission in personal life, as well as teach, model, and coach others to do the same


• Build and pastor a leadership team of volunteers to care for, recruit and develop all volunteers in the Guest Services Ministry. Use resources as provided by the Guest Services Support team.


• Align Sunday Gathering environments with the Guest Services MPS.


• Review Guest Services metrics and use this as a resource to follow-up, encourage, etc.


• Utilize Rock to document communication and attendance for volunteers and guests to New Serve, New Here, and Serving Groups.


• Partner with Regional Safety Director in leading the Safety Area Leader to onboard, lead, and train Safety volunteers.


• Foster intercommunication between Ministries, Guest Services Support, and the Campus Pastor to make appropriate and vision aligned choices for the Spartanburg Campus.


• Adhere to and encompass the qualities and characteristics required of NewSpring Church staff members, as defined by the Policies and Procedures Handbook.

Role Requirements:

• This role is full time 40 hours per week.


• This role is eligible to receive a housing allowance.


• A college degree is preferred.


• This role adheres to a standard schedule, knowing it may fluctuate at times & based on certain needs. Standard schedule is:
