South Carolina Aquarium seeks a friendly Guest Services Associate for a part-time, outdoor-facing role. You will welcome guests, sell tickets and memberships, and support visitor experience, including special events.

The position is standing, outdoors, with shifts that include weekends and holidays. Uniform shirts are provided, and parking is free, with opportunities for extra hours through events.

Formación

• Experience in hospitality, tourism, retail, or customer service is a plus.
• Friendly, outgoing individuals who enjoy working with people.
• Must be available weekends and days around the holidays.
• Comfortable standing for long periods outdoors and in varying weather.

Responsabilidades

• Warmly greet guests and promote programs and initiatives.
• Sell and scan tickets with a smile (cash-handling exp recommended).
• Promote and sell memberships (computer exp required).
• Operate experiences like the Undersea Explorer VR.
• Assist guests with golf cart rides to and from parking (valid driver’s license required).
• Assist with crowd flow, safety, and organization.
• Use a radio for communications.
• Process school field trip groups.

Guest Services Associate – Part-time

This permanent position is perfect for college students, retirees, and anyone looking to earn extra money in a fun, fast-paced environment.

Quick Highlights:

• Full day shifts that range from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; sign up for night-time events for extra hours
• Holiday shifts are paid time and a half
• Availability required for at least one weekend day; you can work up to 30 hours in a week
• Free parking provided
• Aquarium provides uniform shirts and outerwear
• This is a standing, outdoor position — dress appropriately; accommodations provided as necessary.
• Pay is $15 per hour

What You’ll Do:
