Job summary

Discovery Land Company seeks a Guest Services Ambassador at Homewood Mountain & Lake Club on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, California. You will warmly greet guests, provide accurate information, and connect them with resort products and services to ensure an exceptional experience.

You will manage guest flow, assist with reservations and wayfinding, and stay informed about lift tickets, ski school, rentals, and passes. Exceptional communication and a friendly, proactive attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Hospitality or related experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide accurate resort information.
• Assist with guest flow, reservations, and wayfinding for smooth arrivals.
• Maintain knowledge of resort products and services (lift tickets, ski school, rentals, passes).
• Educate guests on options and help select suitable products and services.
• Address guest questions and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Support sales and marketing efforts by communicating promotions.
• Keep the Guest Services office aligned with the Department Operating Plan.

This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company's locations: Homewood Mountain & Lake Club, set on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe in Homewood, California.

Job Summary:

The Guest Services Ambassador is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Guest Services department while delivering an exceptional and memorable guest experience at Homewood. As a primary point of contact for guests, the Guest Services Ambassador welcomes and assists guests, provides accurate information, and connects them with the appropriate resort products and services.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional guest service by warmly greeting guests, providing accurate resort information, and connecting guests with the appropriate products, services, and locations.
• Assist with guest flow and line management, reservations, and wayfinding to ensure an efficient and positive arrival and resort-access experience.
• Maintain current knowledge of resort products and services, including lift tickets, ski and snowboard school, rentals, season passes, mountain terrain and snow conditions.
• Educate guests on available products and services and assist them in selecting options that best meet their needs.
• Listen attentively to guest questions, concerns, and complaints and take appropriate action to resolve issues in a timely, professional, and accurate manner.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of and consistently adhere to company policies, procedures, standards, rules, and regulations.
• Support departmental sales and marketing initiatives by effectively communicating resort products, services, and promotions to guests.
• Ensure the Guest Services office is in accordance with its Department Operating Plan (DOP)
• Snow removal as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate information accurately.
• Previous experience in hospitality, ski resorts, or a related field is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Additional Requirements:

• Flexibility and ability to pivot to new projects and desire to work in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

The Company's good faith estimate of the hourly rate it expects to pay for this role is $21-$23 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
