Guest Service - Restaurant 210306 - 3426 Cypress Street, Suite 19, West Monroe, LA 71291 (Finance)
Reports To (Title): Restaurant General Manager
Department: Field Operations
Job Summary: To serve each guest courteously, quickly, and efficiently while adhering to the procedures in the Service Section of the Church's Operating Standards Manual (the "OSM"). Accomplishes tasks in a timely and orderly manner.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Greet all customers with a sincere smile, making them feel welcome through a positive, pleasant, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Take and fill the customer's order within the company-mandated service time.
- Suggestive upsell of products as directed by management.
- Collect money and deliver the order to the customer.
- Immediately attend to any customer service problem or complaint and notify the manager as needed.
- Verify opening reading and bank. Be accountable for all cash issued and received during the shift and all guest checks used. Count down the drawer at the end of the shift to ensure accuracy.
- Notify the Manager in Charge immediately of any deletions, over-rings, or equipment problems.
- Ensure all product holding times are strictly observed.
- Ensure products on the counter or in the display case are properly rotated and attractively displayed.
- Keep the display case interior and exterior clean at all times.
- Stock the service area with sufficient supplies such as napkins, cups, lids, etc., and maintain an adequate supply of iced tea.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements (Education, Qualifications, Experience):
- High school diploma or GED; at least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Position Qualifications/Functional Skills:
- Knowledge of all restaurant policies, practices, and operational and human resources procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to receive money and accurately count back change.
- Practice adequate security measures in cash handling, including making frequent cash drops and maintaining a minimum amount of cash in the drawer.
- Basic computer skills.
- Punctuality in reporting to scheduled shifts.
